The entire plants recycled water volume is 250.62 million liters per year, showing a 1% increase from 2023 to 2024.
Water Type and Water Consumption(Unit: million liters)
Water Discharge/ Water Withdrawals Statistic(Unit: million liters)
Packaging Division WUR (water consumption(ton) / NT$ million revenue)
It is expected that through achievements in water conservation and environmental protection, the Company can enhance its sustainable competitiveness in the market.
Packaging Division
decreased from 51.93 to 0
Beverage Division WUR (Water consumption/NT$ million revenue)
From 2022 to 2024, the Water Use Ratio (WUR) for the Beverage Division decreased from 3.55 to 3.41., indicating effective management of water resource recycling.
Beverage Division
decreased from 3.55 to 0
Wastewater(Unit: million liters)
All wastewater from the factories is treated to meet regulatory discharge standards before being discharged into the sewage system within the industrial park. Apart from rainwater, wastewater is not directly discharged into surface water bodies. The company has established emergency response procedures and conducts regular training and drills related to wastewater leakage to prevent pollution and environmental impact from abnormal discharge.
A water source vulnerability assessment was conducted in 2021, with action plans established. During dry seasons, water recycling and external water purchasing measures are implemented.
Risk Introduction | Mitigation Actions |
---|---|
Regional Water Sources:
1. Drinking water shortages during dryseasons 2. Aseptic beverage plant accounts for 38.78% of Taichung Port Industrial Zone water intensity |
During water restriction 1. Establish early warning mechanisms and closely monitor government announcements 2. During "yellow alert" pressure reductions, coordinate with clients to adjust production batch quantity and production line capacity 3. Monitor water inflow into the zone’s storage tanks and adjust schedules accordingly 4. Coordinate with clients to increase single production batch quantity to reduce switching frequency 5. Set up external water purchasing channels and implement water recycling measures |
Water Supply Continuity Pipeline ruptures from regional construction or water quality abnormalities caused by typhoons |
1. Promptly investigate water quality anomalies and report to the water utility company for remediation 2. Respond according to raw water turbidity alarms or water stoppage protocols 3. Establish alternative water supply channels |
Water Usage Fee Implementation | Promote process water recycling and coordinate with clients to increase single batch production quantity |
Stakeholder Concerns Water Quality and Environmental |
Comply with the Taichung Port Science Industrial Park's wastewater discharge standards: BOD ≤250 mg/L, COD ≤450 mg/L, SS ≤250 mg/L, and other discharge indicators |
